Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Serving as casher and processing customer's financial transactions
- Greeting customers and helping them properly load car onto conveyor
- Performing opening and closing duties
- Working in all types of weather - in fact, we're busiest in winter months
- Focusing on following process and safety procedures at all times
- Performing light manual labor - must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds

Site Manager
Blue Sky Car Wash is hiring a site manager in the northern Columbus, Ohio, area.
Our company goal is efficient and profitable car wash operations, and the site manager supports that by making sure our customers have an exceptional experience that makes us their favorite car wash. This sounds simple but entails many different things, like keeping the customer experience top of mind, making sure all equipment is working, keeping the property looking great, overseeing team member’s work, making sure we’re processing cars efficiently on super busy days, keeping an eye out for safety concerns, dealing with customer issues, promoting/selling monthly plans and more. We’re looking for someone who is:
1. Trustworthy/ethical: This is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. Always being honest, no matter who you are dealing with.
2. Handy: Able and happy to turn a wrench and troubleshoot issues. See issues, fix the simple ones and call in help when needed for larger ones.

4. Personable: Friendly, good with customers, and able to handle difficult situations with ease and a cool head. You must like people. We see several hundred each day.
5. Organized, detailed and a good communicator.
Some other important things:
- This job is an outside job, much of the time. It gets hot in the summer in the car wash tunnel, and cold in the winter. Winter is our busy season.
- This is a working manager position. Sometimes you will be doing the same tasks as the other team members: loading cars, working at the window/register, etc. Other times you will be supervising, completing management tasks or overseeing things at an operational level. It’s a mix.
- This job is typically 45 hours a week and could be more at times. Our busy times are weekends, and this job will require the site manager to work on Saturdays. It will also occasionally include some before or after hours work to assist with repairs and maintenance. Flexibility is key. There will be off-hours emails and texts, and they need to be responded to in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities (others as assigned):
- Operate the car wash efficiently to achieve sales, service and operational excellence.
- Monitor equipment and facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, image, and wash quality meet expectations.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of the car wash membership database and ensure billing is updated as required.
- Develop and monitor staffing schedule designed to meet customer service needs while managing labor cost. (On rainy days, staffing needs to be adjusted.)
- Maintain and track all necessary inventories; order detergents and other supplies as needed.
- Promote monthly memberships and ensure staff is as well.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, team members, external vendors, etc. Respond timely to requests from managers, team members and customers.
- Report any customer injuries, any customer property or facility damage, or safety issues to management immediately.
- Perform other duties not listed as required.
Technical Expertise Required:
- Have or gain knowledge of car wash operations, equipment and detergents. This is a large part of the job. If you do not have this experience, there will be a learning curve, so be ready to learn.
- Monitor completion of duties of each shift as required to maintain the facility and wash. Coach when tasks not completed.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and make needed repairs of equipment/facility, utilizing maintenance staff when needed.
- Take responsibility for correction of unsafe conditions.
- Understand and utilize all electronic and computer systems used in daily operations.
- Understand detergents (performance, ordering, loading, maintenance, safety, etc.) as well as cleaning and changing of water systems filters.
Supervisory responsibilities:
8-12 team members/car wash associates
Qualifications:
Education:
Required: high school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Some college - Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree or certification from trade school
Experience:
Required: 5 years or more in car wash industry, automotive-related business, customer service role, retail, service industry or related field.
Also required: 2 years or more of leadership/supervisory experience in car wash industry, automotive-related business, customer service role, retail, service industry or related field.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, bend, kneel, work in tight spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and other similar tasks to repair equipment, load/unload materials, and perform other essential job functions.
Skills and abilities requirements:
- Mechanical/technical skills necessary to complete basic troubleshooting and maintenance of car wash equipment and building maintenance.
- Ability to use own judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding problems and transactions and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
- Proficient at technology including computer, smart phone, Microsoft Word, email, and ability and willingness to learn car wash specific applications.
- Proficient with power washer, and various hand tools (both power and manual).

Assistant Site Manager
Blue Sky Car Wash – Full-time assistant manager position
In this position, you will be required to perform all job functions during your shift as well as manage, direct and delegate tasks to other associates. Perform site manager duties when the site manager is off.
Essential Job Functions
- Handle day-to-day job functions: loading, sales, cleaning tasks

Required Experience

Maintenance Tech I
Maintenance Technician 1
Starting at $20/hour
Come work with us! We’re currently looking for a Maintenance Technician I.
As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for daily preventive maintenance, Installing and repairing equipment at all 5 Blue Sky Car Wash Locations. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills to the expert level in order to advance to Maintenance Technician II.
What you will do:
- Responsible for the day to day preventive maintenance of all area locations including greasing, filter changes, bearing replacements, shocks and air cylinder changes and much more.
- Apply basic knowledge of hydraulics, welding, plumbing, electrical and other industrial fields to install and maintain car wash equipment.
- Travel between all stores in market to provide routine scheduled maintenance and unscheduled breakdown repairs
- Build trusting relationships with the maintenance and operations team through our culture of accountability
- Demonstrate pride in your work and a commitment to safety, organization and cleanliness
- Learn how to diagnose, treat, and prevent a wide variety of maintenance issues
- Acquire skills in hydraulics, welding, plumbing, electrical (low and high voltage), mechanical pneumatic and other industrial fields.
- Basic experience in at least four of the following fields: Electrical, mechanical aptitude, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, and plumbing

- Minimum 5 years moderate- to advanced-level experience in breakdown industrial and production maintenance preferred
- Moderate experience in at least four of the following fields: Electrical, mechanical aptitude, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, and plumbing
- Know how to diagnose, treat, and prevent a wide variety of maintenance issues
- Travel between all stores in market to provide routine scheduled maintenance and unscheduled breakdown repairs
